“You see I didn’t grow up in a stable home, my parents were 18 separated with no money still young and rebellious...As my talent progressed and I became ultra successful it happened within a strand of Two years. My whole world was flipped on its head. I went from a 13 year old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world...everyone did everything for me so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility. So by this point I was 18 with no skills in the real world..By 20 I made every bad decision you could have thought of...I started doing pretty heavy dugs at 19 and abused all my relationships...It’s taken me years to bounce back from all these terrible decisions, fix broken relationships and change relationship habits.”

Now married, Justin candidly discusses how he and his wife engage in marriage counselling to grow their relationship together on The Bert Show.
Bert: “So you have like a almost like a group of advisors for different things in your life, like if there's something going on in your marriage, you call blank. If there's something going on in the industry, you call blank. Do you have sort of a cabinet of people like that?”
Justin Bieber: “I definitely have a group of trusted people that I go to for different things. I have a counselor, you know, kind of like a marriage counselor kind of deal. She walks me through how to, you know, get through certain situations... It's like communication with your spouse is like, it's hard to get on the same page sometimes...I think seeking counsel is like, very wise so that you're not...Because I grew up not feeling like, not being able...I didn't know how to kind of talk about my feelings a lot. So I was internalizing them and so I think it's very healthy to talk about the things that you're going through.”
